Tampa Bay offers a wonderful variety of fishing options. You can choose from fishing flats, deeper waters or coastal beaches depending on season and fish preference. Captain George will discuss what's biting and where to help customize the right fishing charter for you.

What will we fish?

What about night fishing for sharks?

Of course! Shark fishing, like most fish, is seasonal. The best opportunity to catch shark occurs May-August. If sharks are what you're after, Captain George can put you on them.

Where will we launch?

Tampa Bay has many launch sites. When booking your fishing charter Captain George will help determine which site is best for your trip based on: your location, your fishing desires and, most importantly, where the fish are biting.

What about the boat and the gear?

Captain George maintains a custom rigged Dorado 23, the Island Hopper, fully insured and impeccably maintained. The vessel uses all Mercury Marine products onboard. Gear is provided including Ugly Stick rods, Penn reels and braided line.

What is included on my Fishing Charter?

All fishing equipment, live and/or dead bait, ice, bottled water, sodas plus assorted drinks, and sunscreen are provided. Alcohol is not provided, however is permitted, bring it if you'd like. Please, no coolers!

What should I bring on my fishing charter?

Required: sensible, non-marking footwear. Highly Recommended: clothing with UV protection.

Optional: Food and alcohol are permitted, but not provided. Please plan accordingly. Customers can also choose from a variety of waterfront eateries. Please discuss your preferences with Captain George while planning your fishing charter.

What about insurance?

The Captain and the Island Hopper are fully insured.

What if fishing isn't my thing, I want to sightsee or Island hop?

Captain George is happy to accommodate. Whether it's sight seeing, island hopping, and snorkeling (weather permitting) the Captain knows the best locations. Tampa Bay provides beautiful waterfront, innumerable barrier islands, and plenty of sunshine. If fishing isn't your thing, no problem! Captain George is happy to accommodate.
